Look at this 70's smasher. I cannot wait to investigate this book, it has crochet, sewing and knitting projects.

I shelled out a whole £2.50 in the Red Cross charity shop on the strength of an Aran crochet blanket pattern. If I actually manage to start a project, I'll share progress.

Finished my first crochet project, from a pattern off of etsy. There may be a few 'example heads' rolling around, where I was trying to learn how (and where) to attach things. In addition to fibrefill in the body, there may also be a dozen or more failed magic rings. #fibrearts #crochet

I dyed a bunch of yarn that I pulled out of worn socks and plied into doubles. The dyes were made from used tea bags, vinegar, turmeric, and rusted staples. I was especially pleased with how dark the black came out without needing to redo any steps. Happy to answer questions about the dyes and chemistry if people are interested.
