A ferruginous hawk in flight. I shot this from my vehicle on a frigid day in northeast New Mexico (January 19, 2025). This hawk was very nervous about my presence, and it was difficult to get shots. Ideally, I would have used a faster shutter speed, but I used the relatively fast shutter I already had selected.
