Last year, cat's kidney numbers were up but in "normal" range, so the vet said nothing. Turns out Merrick cat food is suuuper high in phosphorus.

So I slowly poisoned a cat with faltering kidneys with the worst possible food. 😭

Now I need to give her subcutaneous fluids and $$$ prescription food. So uh check your senior cat's bloodwork, and maybe find out how much phos is in their food (often found in the Q&A section of the product page e.g. on Chewy) #seniorCat #felineCKD
