@MutualAidNet I feel like this shit is all too common these dayys. Both for myself and others. :( This being said:
My cab vouchers that help me get to and from work sustainably never showed in the mail for the week of work I've done....and hoo boy has it been a *week*. I have gone in almost every day for the last one, and a few days before. and the ubers were at least 16 dollars (one way)...which means over the last week or so, I've spent at least $160 dollars in transportation fees. While I can get these returned (Possibly if I can figure out how) this plus some other expenses means I'm about 530 in the hole. (Thank you auto-freaking-pays/overdraft fucking fees.)
While I don't expect to get the whole amount back, I would like at least half )$265) as it would be easier to loos that amount, rather than about half my benefits for the month in one go. And no, I'm not complaining about the increased work load; yes, I will probably get a good bit of that back on payday, but I would dearly love to use that to actually catch *up* on the bills by paying the full amounts )In some cases past due+current) so I can start to get ahead for once and perhaps stay there?
