My #FavouriteFind of 2024 - Carline Thistle at #RSPB #Snettisham in August. I'd wanted to see this plant for literally years, partly because it's so very odd and partly because it was the only thistle available in England & Wales that I'd never seen. #Norfolk #WildflowerHour #Bloomscrolling #botany #plants #flowers #wildflowers #photography

A #FavouriteFind this year was rediscovering Britain’s largest population of Spotted Rock-rose (Tuberaria guttata) at a site on #Anglesey not recorded since 1985. Utterly thrilling to stumble across hundreds of thousands of plants. You have to survey in the morning as the flowers loose their petals at lunchtime #iamabotanist #botany #wildflowers
