This walk of just over five miles on #Anglesey is a mixture of great coastal scenery and interesting industrial remains and the unusual St. Patrick’s Church at Llanbadrig. The walk runs from Cemaes Bay to Porth Wen. See https://www.happyhiker.co.uk/MyWalks/Anglesey/Cemaes%20to%20Porth%20Wen/Hiking%20Pages%20-%20Cemaes%20to%20Porth%20Wen.htm
Sitting in my little bit of heaven, enjoying the warmth of the sun, birdsong, peace #Anglesey #birdsong #sun #peace
Life is short, enjoy every second. You can't replay yesterday so make the most of today. Noone can love you as much as you can love yourself. Every day you live is one day you will never repeat.

The Welsh church claimed by spiders and ivy: what do Britain’s derelict churches say about our health and happiness?

The series on abandoned buildings on St Tyfrydog’s church in Llandyfrydog on Ynys Môn, aka Anglesey, which has now been rescued by Friends of Friendless Churches, a charity that rescues and protects historic places of worship in England and Wales.

I have been an atheist since the age of 10, but feel that churches are important buildings on these islands, and have been to see gigs in them, including the trumpet and drums duo the Spaceheads. As Rachel Morley, director of the charity, who was brought up Catholic but is not religious, puts it:

“I just love that they are there, they belong to the landscape and the nation. Anyone can go in, for spiritual succour, or if you’ve been on a walk and you want to sit down and eat your lunch.”

A #witch who lived in the #Neolithic burial chamber at Lligwy, #Anglesey, was wrongly blamed for a series of storms and angry fishermen threw her into the sea. But a young man dived in and saved her. In gratitude, she gave him a charm which brought him good luck all his life #WyrdWednesday #folklore
We're going to #anglesey for a few days, leaving tomorrow. Staying near Brynsiencyn. I'm quite excited. Anything we should definitely see/do while we're there?

Rhoscolyn this lunchtime. Lovely day, nice breeze. Always great examples of regional metamorphism, both in the New Harbour turbidites and the psammite.

Do help my understanding if needed - I am but an enthusiastic learner!
