For my birthday recently, we took the Cape Clear Ferry tour to see the Fastnet Lighthouse. The sea was perfect, and the 'Rock' was spectacular! We also got to see a boat taking part in the 'Rolex Fastnet Race.' #mastodaoine #fastnetrock

Finally transferred the pictures from our Ireland trip from the camera (do not want to risk losing them during the hiking trip in case something happens to the camera). Only went through them briefly, this one caught my eye.

This is the most southern piece of land of Ireland: Fastnet Rock with the 54 meter high lighthouse. Last piece of land the passengers on the Titanic saw. It lies approx. 6 km southwest of Cape Clear Island. The lighthouse is actually the second one of the rock. It was built between 1897 and 1904.
