I’ve decided I’m giving up on listening to Robin Hobb’s Farseer Trilogy for now. The narrator’s fantastic, but I think it’s just not for me at the moment. As much as I deeply love a handful of characters, I’m honestly not sure it’s interest as much as it's just trauma-bonding. Most of the other characters are opaque and enigmatic to me, personally. As someone said in a reply to a previous post of mine, it’s taking a lot of emotional labor to keep going.
I have a long list of books I want to listen to, so I think I’ll put this one on the back burner for now.
