Farmers could use their farm dams as mini-hydro plants, a new study proposes. The study estimates that farm dams in Australia could generate up to 20 GW of renewable energy, enough to power 7 million homes. This could help farmers reduce their electricity bills, diversify their income, and contribute to the energy transition.
