My kids are getting into chess, so my wife offered to get me a cheap chess set with fairy pieces. Each of them got a practice set and a roll up practice mat. (Most inexpensive set we could find that had regular sized pieces.)

I opened it tonight, and I believe that I can set up Bertzal's Chess with Different Armies.

There are some pieces new to me as well. My favorite of these is the Jester. Moves like a queen: cannot take a piece or be taken.
