It ends with him disconnected from everyone, acknowledging that he had his one great love who will be with him forever, and that the world still needs him to help.

So...he does.

The last panel of him just standing there ready to move on and fight, as needed, says it all.

His story is not over and may never be, so long as he is needed.

Ken and Rin. They're not end goals. I think we all knew that, even as Bat tried to force it to happen feeling unworthy of the woman he has loved since they were children. He was never competing with Kenshiro, though. He was fighting himself internally.

Ugh.

Love, again, a big story component.

Yes, I got emotional. Yes, I was tearing up while sitting on my couch reading.

Fist of the North Star brings out emotions in me.

Second - Lots of secret talks happened that the reader doesn't know between Kenshiro and Raoh. It's not a bad thing, per say, but it's a lot and a lot to reveal all at once. It still leads to some poignant moments, but it's also gives way to "Huh" a few times.

Finally - once more, having feelings, allowing yourself to love, conquers all. I love that in a series about beefy men beating each other up in a post-apocalyptic setting, this is OFTEN the central moral.

Another fantastic, violent volume of Fist of the North Star. Kenshiro has his final battle with Kaioh and so many secrets about the past are revealed. Also, Bat returns to carry Rin off into the sunset.

Big moments: First- Kenshiro recognized that he should not be with Rin. Rin always "loved him" in that she looked up to him, not romantically. Bat loved her so fiercely, always. And she loved him too. Letting them go together makes sense.

Wow. Again. I feel I say that after reading EVERY volume of Fist of the North Star. Still valid.

This volume continues with Kaioh manipulating everyone. However, as Hyo and Kenshiro battle, secrets are revealed. Histories of Kenshiro, Hyo, Raoh, and Kaioh are revealed. It's a lot and so good.

Love is, once again, at the center.

The volume ends with a battle beginning between Kenshiro and Kaioh, Rin sent off with her memories erased. It's a lot.

Wow. Again. I feel I say that after reading EVERY volume of Fist of the North Star. However, it's still valid and true.

This volume continues with Kaioh manipulating everyone. However, as Hyo and Kenshiro have an epic battle, secrets are revealed. Histories of Kenshiro, Hyo, Raoh, and Kaioh are revealed. It's a lot of things all at once. And it's so good.

Love is, once again, at the center. Kaioh's love of children leading to her death. Kenshiro, Hyo, and Shachi's love both familial and romantic that has strengthened them.

The volume ends with a battle beginning between Kenshiro and Kaioh, Rin sent off with her memories erased. It's a lot.

Can't wait for Volume 16.
