Even with an announced two-week ceasefire between the United States and Iran, diplomacy and de-escalation must be prioritized.
Americans do not want another endless war in the Middle East. Diplomacy is still possible and necessary. Urge your members of Congress to speak out forcefully against the war and reject more funding for this illegal war with Iran.

Just watched great webinar hosted by #FCNL that was a discussion with Lenore Yarger of #QuakerHouse and Joe Volk (former FCNL) about #ConscientiousObjection. Nuanced and well-rounded discussion.
One takeaway I appreciated from Lenore was that "We have to be careful not to tell Ukrainians how to respond in their situation. What we are really doing when we do that is asking ourselves 'How would I respond in that situation?'"

Fifty years since the end of the U.S. War in Vietnam, Quakers continue to be on the forefront of opposing conscription and supporting conscientious objection to war.
