zimpenfishAfter happily running an innernet mesh network for years, our fibre provider seems to have done something in the last couple of days which broke access from home to the remote machines - everything here couldn’t talk to anything remote all of a sudden.
Even swapping the port from 51822 to 110 (pop3 - something that shouldn’t be filtered) didn’t make things happy.
Cue a frantic couple of hours trying to get a Nebula network up. Which involved having to remember how to work m4 because you need 4 files per machine (nasty) but you can embed 3 of them into the 4th (YAML, NASTY) and cpp was a massive pain in the arse for including files into YAML without faff and torture.
On the plus side, now it mostly works as before (except everything is now on a single 10.42.0/24 whereas innernet had clients on 10.42.1/24 but the server on 10.42.0/24. But luckily most things were just talking to the server host anyway.)
