Right. That's the big blue milkfloat on to charge for the first time.

#Faff

@bobcardboard How much of a #Faff ?

@shezza_t ach, all the usual double and treble checking you do when its something you don't want to mess up and have never done or even seen done before. A lot of it one-off - setting the thing up and selecting the charge rate etc all using one single button is pretty...er...economical design.

The charger is a 'granny charger' so will take a while to charge things but 16 minutes in and its done .65kWh so not too bad. Not running it at absolute max either.

@shezza_t not to mention clambering about in the driveway in the dark wrangling a big chunky cable and lots to bang my shins on
@bobcardboard With the wind helping. Well done for getting it going.
@shezza_t well I couldn't do it in daylight. People would be looking at ne
@shezza_t full charge achieved from 44% by about 8:30am Sunday which by my calculations is pretty much on the nose for what I expected.
Next task is to get the hang of what to habitually switch on and off when driving - the on by default 'lane keeping assistant' is pretty darned irritating. Parking assistant doesn't like low retaining walls being too close etc
@bobcardboard Is the lane assistant annoying beeps whenever it thinks you’ve crossed a white line?
@shezza_t nope. A faint orange warning symbol glows on the dash. More annoyingly it stiffens the steering slightly so you get haptic feedback
@shezza_t which would be ok if it wasn't reacting to all sorts of false positives
