Agi: Software spia nei pc dei magistrati, perquisizioni domiciliari e informatiche

AGI - La Procura di Milano d'intesa con il Procuratore Nazionale Antimafia e Antiterrorismo ha svolto delle perquisizioni domiciliari e informatiche nell'ambito dell'inchiesta per accessi abusivi ai computer in uso ai magistrati tramite il sistema ECM installato sui dispositivi del Ministero della Giustizia. Le perquisizioni risalgono a marzo ma ne viene data notizia oggi. Il caso era stato sollevato dalla trasmissione televisiva Report. Gli accessi, secondo quanto riferito dal procuratore capo Marcello Viola, risultano concentrati nel distretto giudiziario di Torino.
Le credenziali violate e i contratti esterni
"Gli accertamenti investigativi si sono resi necessari poiché, dai primi riscontri, è emerso che le intrusioni informatiche sono avvenute attraverso la forzatura del sistema resa possibile dal possesso delle credenziali di amministratore - è scritto ancora nel comunicato -. I soggetti perquisiti avevano infatti disponibilità di tali credenziali in virtù di contratti di assistenza informatica stipulati dal Ministero con ditte terze. Le perquisizioni si sono svolte in modo partecipato e nel pieno rispetto delle garanzie difensive. Le analisi forensi sui dispositivi sequestrati sono tuttora in corso".

Spyware in the computers of judges, house raids and computer searches.

AGI - The Milan Prosecutor’s Office, in cooperation with the National Antimafia and Anti-Terrorism Prosecutor, conducted home and computer searches as part of an investigation into unauthorized access to computers used by judges via the ECM system installed on the Ministry of Justice’s devices. The searches took place in March but were announced today. The case was raised by the television program Report. According to the chief prosecutor, Marcello Viola, the access attempts were concentrated in the judicial district of Turin.

Credentials Violated and External Contracts
"The investigative checks were necessary because, from the initial findings, it emerged that the cyber intrusions occurred through the forcing of the system made possible by the possession of administrator credentials – the statement continues – The individuals searched had access to these credentials thanks to IT support contracts entered into by the Ministry with third companies. The searches were carried out in a participatory manner and in full respect of legal defense guarantees. Forensic analysis of the seized devices is still ongoing."
