Elon Musk is now running our government and is executing an agenda that is against our national interests. But many people, especially Republicans, have not yet awakened to that fact, or to the reality that American democracy has been fatally compromised.
As international participants continue the #SummitforDemocracy in Zambia today, it will be useful to look at the effects of external actors on democracy. Unfortunately in recent years, international support for democratic norms in Africa has been muted in the face of coups and other challenges.
