#SalemMA - #Styrofoam #Recycling Event – Save Your Styrofoam!

Saturday, January 10, 2026, 10:00 AM – 1:00 PM

"Salem and #BeverlyME partner once again to host Styrofoam Collection Day on Saturday, January 10, 2026, from 10:00am – 1:00pm. Hold on to your foam, as Save That Stuff will collect it to recycle! This is a drive-through event at the Beverly High School, 100 Sohier Rd, MA. Residents of Salem and Beverly may participate.

There will also be pre-event drop-off available at the Beverly Public Library on Friday, January 9, 9am-5pm.

Please bring only rigid, white, expanded polystyrene (Styrofoam), the kind that crumbles into little pellets. No squishy foam, packaging peanuts, or food service containers, such as meat trays, clamshells, or Styrofoam cups can be accepted. While Styrofoam cannot be recycled curbside, Save That Stuff has densifiers that can process the material for recycling. We’re excited to offer residents a way to sustainably dispose of their Styrofoam!

NEW: For the January 2026 event, we will also be accepting broken #StringLights and #ExtensionCords for recycling.

VOLUNTEERS needed for two shifts, 10:00-11:30AM and 11:30-1:15. Please reach out to Alisa at [email protected] to sign up!

For more info contact: Alisa Cherkasova at [email protected] or (978) 619-5672 or 978-594-3938
