This week on the blog: I take a quick tour of the weirdest old computer that still ended up (very indirectly) influencing my childhood computing: the Exidy Sorcerer. Never had one, never saw one, but one of the big books o' programs I had as a kid was published as Apple II but started over on the Exidy.

The Exidy Sorcerer computer had an optional expansion chassis for using S-100 cards.

I have a Sorcerer but I've never even seen the expansion chassis. Today I picked up two chassis worth of backplanes minus the case and power supply! Does either work? That's a great question...

This week I'm working with some kids to build #Retropie based consoles inside an #arcade control stick. We've stuck to freely distributable and PD games to avoid legal issues, and I've discovered that 12 and 13 year olds bloody love Crash from #Exidy - a 1#979 black and white arcade game.
