One nice thing about #ExclusiveLists is that since on our relatively small instance we dont have the kind of general following coverage that larger instances have, so I might want to follow someone so that our instance gets their posts, but I might not want in my home feed (eg. Useful but high volume bots, ppl that boost a lot of interesting things, etc.). So I have a list that just "for the instance"

Its mainlined now, but mastos docs sorta suck so if ya dont know what im talking about here ya go:

Exclusive Lists - neuromatch

(Fern:) I LOVE the new feature that allows you to "hide these posts from home" on lists. It makes it so much easier to organize the accounts we're following.

#Mastodon #Lists #ExclusiveLists

The feature in #Mastodon 4.2 I was waiting for the most is #ExclusiveLists.
Now I can follow high-volume accounts such as reporting from Ukraine and not have my home feed flooded with it. ๐Ÿ‘

@lina has joined our technical working group!! She's a senior full-stack developer extraordinaire who helps us fight git, patiently teaches us #DevOps concepts, and is one of the #MastoDev who contributed to the #ExclusiveLists feature that got merged upstream to base #mastodon ๐Ÿ™Œโ€‹

@elduvelle has joined our social working group!! She's a postdoctoral #neuroscience researcher in the field of (rodent) spatial cognition, is always ready to help new members feel at home here, and has played an instrumental role in the organization of #Maystodon #JoinMastodonDay and #NeuroParty ๐Ÿ™Œโ€‹
