But the rest of the #EU27 would be wise to require #politicalStability in the UK, i.e. a sustained, overwhelming cross-party political will in the UK to be part of the #EU. A narrow UK majority over the #Europhobes would just be a recipe for decades more drama.

Could the UK ever build a durable consensus for EU membership? Really?
