Mastodon needs more spiders. This is a female in the genus Eresus, known as the velvet spiders (Eresidae). Males are smaller and much more vibrantly colored. Some species are pseudo-eusocial, cooperating in brood rearing. Mothers liquefy their own organs and regurgitate it for their young to feed on.
