I might watch #Eraserheads: Combo on the Run later tonight. But I have mixed feelings about Ely announcing the band is back. It looks like they're going to release a new song (or maybe even an album?) in addition to this "music festival" in May.

I mean, you can't stop artists from making things. That's why they are creatives. But so much of what made EHeads successful was giving a generation a voice. They were the voice of the youth. Over 2 decades ago.

Recently, I was talking to a coworker about the #Eraserheads and one of our young colleagues asked "Who are the Eraserheads?" I couldn't believe somebody actually has not heard of the EHeads. So I started enumerating their songs, and when I mentioned "With a Smile," she finally said, "Oh, yeah that one. Of course I've heard that one. They always sing it at karaoke."

Getting old sucks.

CarbonStereoxide, the final album by #Filipino alternative rock legends, #Eraserheads before they broke up, is so underrated and underappreciated. Personally, I feel like several songs here perfectly capture the sadness and loneliness at the heart of "growing up."

Damn that was good! As a 90s kid, I like #Eraserheads' music and all but I honestly wasn't that excited going into the theater. At the end of the show, I left feeling a lot of... ligaya. 😄
