I am not the type to feel personal achievement from the act of ownership of anything, regardless its monetary value/cost.

This watch is not monetarily valuable. It was well made by a mid-sized swiss company back in the 1960s that never went on to garner laudable status.

This watch reminds me of the knowledge and craftsmanship it took to make it, and the doubtless hopes and dreams of whoever wore it and cared for it through its long life.
