What a superb tournament, and whatever the result, women’s football was the real winner today. The excitement was there, the teams were superb, and we need parity for both female and male players. When a deflated feeling sets in after the final match, you know you’ve been watching something you’re really going to miss. Women’s football has come of age, and it’s been an absolute joy to watch.
