Just had a frustrating conversation with a elder relative who spent the day in the hospital last week after an asthma attack.

Their gas stove is broken and they need to replace it. In spite of me pointing out that their gas stove was reducing their quality of life, they were adamant that they wouldn't get an electric stove because of aesthetics.

Also, "professional chefs cook with gas". The gas distributor propaganda has been effective.

The problem I have with this is mainly that I want an integrated system that ideally co-ordinates a broader range of energy tech - I think this has to be the future of a future power system where response is distributed on both supply and demand sides.
