Missing 5-year-old found safe after emergency alert: Halifax RCMP
Just saw the ad on tv about the emergency mobile alert system. They're going to test it on the 14th of June 2026 between 6-7pm.

Testing 1, 2 , 3. 🤣
There's a fundamental user-experience failure in the design of the mobile phone emergency alerts.
As recipient you are so frantic to stop the harsh klaxon sound that you don't get to read the alert text before it's gone.
Likely few users know where to find the emergency-message history list.
That's frustrating - all my emergency-alert settings are set to off, yet they still come through.
