しばし積ん読になっていた、朱戸アオ『インハンド』6巻 https://www.kodansha.co.jp/comic/products/0000409128 を読んだ。
完結したんじゃなかったっけ……と思っていたけど、巻末まで見ていくと、なんと、科研費の「遺伝子ドライブの倫理的・法的・社会的諸課題に関する学際融合研究」 https://kaken.nii.ac.jp/ja/grant/KAKENHI-PROJECT-20K20493/ の一部として企画・作成されたものとのこと。

なるほど、医学（感染症や遺伝子操作など）ネタのサスペンスものの作品と、ELSI（倫理的・法的・社会的課題（Ethical, Legal and Social Issues））研究とのコラボレーションというのは、相性が良さそう。本作については、ネタバレになるので、詳しくは書けないけど、特定の性質を持つ遺伝子を拡散しやすくするようにする「遺伝子ドライブ」という技術の持つ、様々な倫理的課題を、フィクションを通じて描き出す、ということに、見事に成功していると思う。

こういうコラボレーション、いろいろな分野で可能だと思うので、もっと広がるといいなあ。
