Perl Weekly Challenge 360's tasks are "Valid Tag" and "Group Division". Really, when I saw the word "Division", it made me think of the 2026 Rock Hall inductees which were announced last night, which included Joy Division. #PerlWeeklyChallenge #raku #perl #python #elixir

We were unprepared for the last-days influx of submissions.

It looked like we had a pretty good set of talks already. Fewer submission than last year but overall high quality and competitive.

And with this blast of sessions stuff just got HARD. Time to start committing a program.

Updated the Underjord newsletter archive. Latest issue was intended to be a post with a bunch of nice libraries but ended up being mostly an aside about UI libraries in Elixir. 291 for that.

Goatmire Elixir 2026: Call for Speakers

Goatmire Elixir is a small, single-track Elixir event. ...

After reading a lot of C code again and sending out patches I'm happy to not have to worry about memory leaks while programming in #elixir right now.

I'm looking for a new freelance gig.

Experienced with #openbsd, #freebsd and #linux. Love to program in #elixir, #rust and #c. Developed distributed systems and led a security department (red _and_ blue).

Disclaimer: EU/Ger based, remote preferred

2 Elixir consultants willing to do 3000 Euro each would cover one major sponsor for Goatmire. 10 of them would bankroll that whole budget post.

Be kind of rad if it was funded by people working in the community. ROI is a questionmark. I'd be happy to make it a special thing.

She ducked right off for a bit. There were more important things to address. Now she is back and it is our absolute pleasure to welcome Quinn Wilton back to the community and the spotlight.

Last I handed her a microphone she blew the lid off of a live panel and threw DIY dental care into the audience. I think the topic is back to programming. I'm just glad to see her back.

GenericJam's working on native Elixir apps on mobile with Phoenix. Kinda like LiveView Native, but local instead of over the network: https://elixirforum.com/t/native-beam-elixir-on-native-mobile/74924?u=nicd

Another prior art is elixir-desktop, but it's LV + webview while this would be LV + native UI.

Native BEAM / Elixir on Native Mobile

I’ve posted a couple times about this topic before: I’m hoping the description below is close to the final iteration of what the Elixir community would like in a mobile app framework. Working title, mob. BEAM-on-device mobile framework, looking for feedback I am working on a mobile framework for Elixir that takes a different approach than what’s out there although it combines a bit of every approach so far. Looking for early feedback before going further. The idea in one sentence: Write m...
