Rüdiger BenninghausThe Gothic St. Elizabeth's Cathedral in Košice (eastern Slovakia) is the largest church in the country. Construction of the cathedral, dedicated to Elizabeth of Thuringia, began in 1378; over the centuries, it has been damaged, restored and expanded.
