@michael We were at #ElchoCastle near Perth in Scotland, which as a pick-your-own orchard mostly of heritage varieties. Most of the trees had been picked leaving only less-than-perfect apples (aside the final corner of the orchard which still had lots). See my recent posts for photos.

I think we may have overdone it at #ElchoCastle #Orchard today - they’re open one more week and the best apples left were on the Southern edge up to the corner with a small White Melrose #AppleTree with lots of green/yellow fruit. The plums are all gone, and practically all the pears too.

A roofline with real character at one of our favourite Scottish castles, Elcho Castle, close to the River Tay a few miles south-east of Perth.
