Anyone still playing #PBeM? (#PlayByEmail)

The last time I played PBeM, I think it was in 2004/2005. It was already an upgraded version, through #YahooGroups. My first PBeM was via #eGroups (before #YahooClubs acquired it and merged as YGroups).

If I remember correctly, before the Internet, it was played through postal mail. I did not experience it, though I have the same question: anyone still playing #PBM #PlayByMail?

This has been the core of my political projects since I set up the #DIYWeb mailing list in the late 90s. Sadly, I made the naive mistake of hosting it on #EGroups.com, a startup that was acquired and merged into #YahooGropes. Because I no longer seem to have admin access, and because Yahoo's new owners allowed the groups to be archived before they deleted them all, I lost a few years of my activist records :) Yet another reason not to trust #datafarms and DIY ourselves, with community-hosting.
