The Well-read Naturalist#ESA2023 has been a very informative and enjoyable conference. I've met many interesting people and learned much. I certainly hope to be in Long Beach next year and do it all over again.
One of the joys of events such as #ESA2023 is the variety of publishers who attend and display their recent publications. I always enjoy seeing what deep dives into complex subjects @springernature has recently brought into print.
I have several of my own answers to the title question "Why Study Biology By the Sea?" from @UChicagoPress, but I'm also looking forward to discovering what reasons the book's authors identified.
I'll bet @Ichnologist will be happy to learn that his book "Life Sculpted" is prominently displayed at the @UChicagoPress stand here at #ESA2023.
