On the same day, the EU Commission launched an infringement procedure against #Hungary for failing to implement the European Media Freedom Act #EMFA + the Audiovisual Media Services Directive #AVMSD:

"Hungary does not comply with provisions re interference in the work of #journalists", "restricting their economic activities and editorial freedom."

Nor "offer adequate protection of journalistic sources & confidential comms, nor effective judicial protection when these rights are breached."

L'#EMFA obliga a transparència en la propietat dels mitjans, i amplia la protecció de fonts.

⚠️ Però la #MediaExemption (el mitjà té privilegis de visibilitat si s'autodefineix com tal) posa en risc la contra-informació i desmentit a la desinformació sistèmica.
