This panel invites papers that pay granular attention to the movements and uses of sand and contend with the shore as a space of enduring geosocial transformation.

Me and Rosa Sansone have organised the panel "The gender of the state" at the next EASA conference and we invite ethnographically informed contributions exploring gendered experiences of the state and how gender ideologies have been naturalised and reproduced in various statehood processes, among other things.
