Me and Rosa Sansone have organised the panel "The gender of the state" at the next EASA conference and we invite ethnographically informed contributions exploring gendered experiences of the state and how gender ideologies have been naturalised and reproduced in various statehood processes, among other things.

P200: The Gender of the State

This panel seeks to explore gendered experiences of the state. We invite contributions exploring how gender ideologies, and the power relations they hide or manifest, have historically been naturalised and reproduced in various statehood processes and gendered state practices.

Hi everyone! #introduction

I am a social anthropologist exploring the socio-political dimension of biomedicine and how biomedicine is functional to different statecraft projects. I have done some long term ethnographic fieldwork in Rome (Italy) and Athens (Greece). About Athens and medications, I have written stuff but also produced visual field-notes, comics and illustrations.

I just joined Kent&Medway Medical School as a research associate in Medical Anthropology- that's the actual news!!
