The banana plant has been thriving. It sprouted three new leaves since my last report, and a new big one is about to unfurl!
We’ve been setting it out on the deck every non-rainy day, and bringing it in every night. I’ve been giving it 6 cups of water every 5 days or so, and it seems happy with that.
It feels good to see I don’t have a completely black thumb.
We have repotted the banana plant. I took Before and After photos.
Hopefully it survives this trauma.
What fool of a Took buys a tropical plant when they live in a temperate climate?!
Why do they even sell these banana plants - which need approx 10 hrs of sunlight- in the cloudy PNW? How dumb and impulsive do you have to be to buy one of these?
