It’s that time again—the Japan Succulent Society exhibition is at the Ōfuna Flower Center!

I think I was pretty restrained this time:

A small gymnocalycium with a bit of variegation

A wild-spined astrophytum

A two-headed dudleya with chubby leaves

Bonus: the Flower Center gift store had pinguiculas! I very rarely see them at retail so I had to get one. And it’s flowering!

*Dudleya abramsii setchellii* - The Santa Clara Valley Liveforever

A beautiful native succulent, this rare and threatened subspecies is only found on serpentine rock exposures in Santa Clara County. Several populations have already been extirpated due to development, including a large former population at Communications Hill. Thankfully, most of the remaining plants are on protected lands. #CaliforniaNativePlants #dudleya #SantaClaraCounty #liveforever #serpentine #PlantsofSanJose #PlantsoftheBayArea #succulents #raresucculents #dudleyaabramsiisetchellii #dudleyaabramsii
