A ★★★½ review of Drijf (2023)

Screened at Filmfestival INTERFILM 39 International Short Film Festival Berlin - Knocked Off Track - [English] An animated film with a very abstract visual style and several WTF moments. On the open sea, a couple paddles on a tree trunk to watch dolphins. Without much notice, very bloody and absurdly brutal anecdotes follow about how they survive together. Actually, on closer inspection, a negotiation of the relationship takes place. This is symbolized by funny moments of woman and man and is shown naked in the truest sense of the word.
