How’s this cute little number, sprouting beside a front fence in #melbourne?

It is an #Antirrhinum - some call it a #dragonflower, a #snapdragon or #dogflower because of the flowers' resemblance to the face of a dragon that opens and closes its mouth when squeezed.

Anyways, next time you come by a dragon and squeeze it’s face laterally, please do let me know if it resembles one of these things! 🐲😂

They are native to rocky areas of Europe, the United States, Canada, and North Africa.

They’d look great in a vase but i must admit I’m against cutting for temporary displays.

I’d rather keep all natures gifts in tact to display ongoing.
