I love how they keep finding old episodes many decades after the event, the Digital Packrat in me finds comfort from this
Adding the reason why Mary Anne Hobbs could not present the Wednesday 1st April 2009 show because the future society that will be built partly upon my digital music collection will appreciate the context (her train broke down on the way to the studio)
However, somebody might have ripped up and put it out on a network like Soulseek, so if they have done, maybe search for "Rave Forever 00s Smokin Jo Mix"
This is what the Old World reduces us to when we want to enjoy culture, it is time for the New World and for the monsters to be gone.
Be a Digital Packrat instead. Host rips of that favourite radio show you enjoyed from 20 years ago, host clips of that TV series that Capitalism erased from the libraries due to a rights issue, keep the knowledge and culture alive!
@QueerMatters become a digital packrat like the rest of us!
@kjhealy that was an enjoyable gallery, I'm thinking now how many of these designs would be good for a contemporary media player, for the Digital Packrats among us.
Never been on Spotify, don't have an account to the best of my knowledge.....I've always been a digital packrat, all my tunes are on my drives and not funding the Military Industrial Complex (which isn't a band)
Remember how they used to say 'Digital Piracy Funds Terrorism' , yeah?
@FeloniousPunk shout-out to the Limewire Hardcore, I've got mp3 files older than some adults on my drives!
