“The Yearling” by Donald Lipski.
Originally created for an elementary school in New York — which apparently did not work out as planned. After a short time in Central Park, the sculpture eventually moved to Denver, where it now stands in front of the public library.
Still a slightly surreal sight to stumble across.

#today a coworker came in to get a tour of my location (a branch at #DenverPublicLibrary) and we were talking about the libraries we used back in the day and the next thing you know it, we were former schoolmates and were in Sound of Music (HS production) together. I was called back to try out for Maria but she & another Sr got the part. I got one of the nuns. I always say #Denver is a small big city. It was fun reminiscing.
