I'm pleased to see the UK government are starting to recognise that we need to beef up our defence capabilities.

Sure, we'd all rather spend money on things other than defence, but in the current unstable geopolitical situation, we don't have a choice. Having strong military forces isn't a nice-to-have right now, it's a necessity.
