RE: https://mastodon.ml/@vint/116719466430320050

Just accidentally tapped something about "Reset certificates" in #DAVx5 and now it won't recognize my #CalDAV server of choice because of it (???). Reinstalling the app did *not* help, so I have to switch to another solution.

#DecSyncCC seems rather interesting: instead of messing with CalDAV servers, I can use #Synchting (or #SyncUp frontend for it, or other means of file synchronization) to synchronize my system calendar on Android and one on laptop. The concept is sick and I'm excited to try it out!

My next chapter of #deGoogling touches both my smartphone and computer(s): Contacts and Calendars management, synchronization & backup.

I'm considering two possibilites:
1. #Nextcloud as a server (how to choose from the available public instances?) and #DAVx5 (on my smartphone) for syncing. In the future I *might* consider self-hosting.
2. Using #DecSyncCC only (since I already use #Syncthing).

I would like to hear your thoughts and perhaps ask some follow-up questions!
