Today WHO announced end to COVID-19 as global health emergency. The announcement itself is not very important as we all felt this way for a little while but I think this day should be marked in our calendars. So we can see it in a few years and remember the #DaysOfCorona

That feeling of danger and uncertainty. Closed shops and empty streets. The global race for cure and how it turned into the vaccine war. Governments readily turning to draconian measures and violating their citizens' rights. Also people (educated people from developed countries) readily trusting untested substances and treatments or not trusting even basics of medicine and seeing mind control in vaccines and nanoworms in masks.

Many, many more things we saw in these three years. But almost all of them resulting in social conflicts and division of people, sometimes in really ugly ways. We all talked how the virus caused cytokine storm in its victims turning their immune system against their own bodies. The most of us missed the real cytokine storm happening all around us - with us being the cells going haywire or just trying to survive.

Some day we will want to talk about it.

WHO chief declares end to COVID-19 as a global health emergency

The head of the UN World Health Organization (WHO) has declared “with great hope” an end to COVID-19 as a public health emergency, stressing that it does not mean the disease is no longer a global threat.

#MeanwhileInRussia a lot of people are sceptical about getting vaccinated. There are reasons for this of course.

After three days of very moderate flu-like fever I went to almost normal except now my sense of smell is gone.

Achievement unlocked.

Remember when it all started and people rushed to buy toilet paper?

After initial shortage stores picked up the slack and put toilet paper on sale. We happened to run out of it so I got 24 roll pack real cheap.

Today I noticed I had one roll left.

I also checked out video feeds and it looked like they did have a lot of people out there. Some arrests were made - very gentle arrests compared to what we see here or in the US.

Curiously BBC article sounds like the protest was over by the time it was published. However according to the video feeds the protest is still going on, one hour later.

Germany announced a minimum €50 fine for people caught not wearing face masks where it is compulsory. This probably was the push that triggered this.

Every article covering the protest in Berlin seems to mention "alt-right present among the protesters". I am not sure how relevant it is. It doesn't seem to be alt-right event and alt-right are seen at many events because they either want to piggyback on publicity or also support the idea - which doesn't say anything about the idea itself.

We used to do amateur breeding of labrador retrievers and we stopped some years ago for a number of reasons. After hearing from three UK-based kennels about their puppies getting stolen I got curious - and apparently it is a thing now.

In Russia puppy sales are also booming (even though it subsides already), I hear some breeders almost doubled their prices compared to pre-covid time despite economy plunge.

Please don't buy animals from shady sources. There are all kinds of wrong things going on in this business. The best way to get an animal friend is to adopt one but if you really want one with pedigree, choose responsible and respectable breeder.
