Thanks to the #NoScript plugin I use in my browsers, I just noticed that scripts from at least 2 Goggle domains and at least 1 Cloudflare domain (see screenshots) are being served to people visiting the official enrol to vote website;

https://vote.nz/enrolling/enrol-or-update/enrol-or-update-online/

In the context of the united front formed with the Orange Stalin regime by SillyCon Valley, I find this profoundly disturbing. Official websites should not be serving third-party scripts, especially from known #DataFarmers.

"The US Department of Justice (DOJ) claims Google acts as a monopoly, illegally paying billions of dollars to Apple, Samsung, LG and others to make Google the default search engine on phones and computers.

The DOJ says this cuts other players, mainly Microsoft Bing and DuckDuckGo, out of the market.

Its anti-trust case was launched against the search engine giant in 2020"

Google: The monopoly we don't want to live without

Google is the big, intrusive company that we welcome into our lives with open arms because of the way it helps us through our daily lives. Will a ruling from the US say it's gone too far?

"Prime Minister Justin Trudeau has in recent days fiercely criticised Meta for barring access to critical safety information about a spate of wildfires, which is being disseminated by news companies.

...Meta has told Canadian news outlets that users can still access safety messages from government agencies and emergency services."

Bill tabled to make Meta and Google negotiate with news outlets

I'll certainly be moving the job of emptying and deleting my remaining Goggle accounts to the top of my ToDo list : /

F&%king #DataFarmers. I wouldn't piss on them if they were on fire.

Putting aside the question of what use breakable #encryption would be, what other services "communicate using virtually unbreakable encryption" (if they're doing their job properly)? Banking, insurance, health care, schools, etc. Who would benefit if these services had to use breakable encryption? The same corporate #Datafarmers they think they're regulating, as well as #IdentityThieves and other fraudsters.

For example, if you threat model was about '#DataFarmers collecting my data and spooks passively hoovering it up via known back doors', then #Tox might be a good choice. But because Tox is highly experimental, if you or your contacts are high-value targets to organizations with access to skilled crackers, it's security level isn't good enough to protect you. These are the considerations you need to work through, ideally in conversation with your contacts.
@blair are people really saying #BlockChain protects privacy? #FacePalm What they might means is #P2P - ie serverless apps, so no corporate #DataFarmers - but people need to be educated that those two terms are not interchangeable. It's possible for centralized orgs to make use of blockchains, and lot's of P2P tools don't use them
