5/9/2024: Comcast Now Offers No-Data-Cap, No-Contract Broadband Nationwide, PCMag

Comcast writes the “Now” in “Now Internet” in all caps, and every time I see a company use the Caps Lock key as an attention-grabbing device I remember how my old Post colleague Bill Walsh wouldn’t stand for that. Fortunately, PCMag also declines to put brand names in all caps when they’ve never been abbreviations for anything.

Really wish this didn't exist though!

Early this morning I received a text message that stated: “You've used 90% of your Xfinity Internet data for November 2022.”

So I just started streaming another Netflix TV show in 4K… let’s make that 100% eh?!

Stupid data caps. I live by myself, the fact that I can do 1.2 Tb with all legal content means it’s a cap that is too low!

Starting December Starlink will start throttling home internet for customers who use more than 1TB of data per month during peak hours. Any data used between 11PM and 7AM doesn’t count.

La 4g limitée à 15ko/s, ça fait tout bizarre, comme une sensation de frustration, de lenteur. Un je ne sais quoi de désagréable lorsqu'on a besoin d'une info immédiatement.

Heureusement que ça se remet à zéro demain...
