Wow, the organisers of SOSP booked an excursion on Thursday without sufficient places for most attendees. And the day before the official start of the conference, it's already fully booked. Apparently it was full before my flight even landed. Glad to see the massively overpriced registration fee is being spent in accordance with the ACM policies on inclusion. #SOSP #ACM

Been watching #StrangeÆons’ Oral History of #DashCon, and it’s fascinating. Yea okay it was a part of #Internet #History, but also comparing it to #InternetHistorian’s DashCon video, you get a weird feeling of something akin to Internet archaeology. Like reading about an event from the views of two opposing societies from thousands of years ago. Except it was 10 years ago and in Chicago.
