ちなみにマルクがレプソル・ホンダからMotoGPクラスに昇格して２年目の2014年、開幕から10連勝という連勝街道をひた走っていた彼にストップをかけたのは同じレプソルチームのダニ・ペドロサだった。
ペドロサはMotoGPチャンピオンにこそなれなかったものの、ここぞというところでいい仕事をする。
