Man, my personal GOTY is going to be a shit-show.

There are four games that I've played this year that all would have been my GOTY for 2024. And yet, only one can be victorious.

I thought it was done and dusted with #Expedition33, but the more I play #HadesII the more I think it may be one of the most complete videogames ever made.

And don't even get me started on #Dispatch. If the second half of that season is as good as the first I'm really going to have to question it's standing on this list.

And that's before I think about games like #DOOMTDA, #WuchangFallenFeathers and #RiftRiff.

Everyone should have a Big-Data-Slayer right at their disposal with local compute.

Wow, that was some pretty good fun. #DoomTDA more than 30 hours of gaming for 70€, nothing to complain about.

Played on standard difficulty, trying anything hard would up the price by one PS5 controller at least. Brutal. 🤣

The #Doom #DarkAges soundtrack rips through your ears the same way the freaking shield cuts the daemons in half. Absolutely love it.

Random thought on the game pricing conversation

I finished #DoomTDA in probably 20-25 hours, and that included a bit of exploration for the collectibles. I went back and 100%’d all 22 chapters, collected *all* the things. Steam says 40 hours

It’s a $70 game. I bought the $100 edition since I wanted the DLC and early access didn’t hurt. So 70/40 = $1.75 per hour of entertainment for my first run

Or 100/40 = $2.50 per hour, if you prefer

As paid entertainment goes, that’s pretty great IMO. And I’ll definitely play through it again at least once more soon, and again in coming years. I’m pretty happy with that

#DoomTheDarkAges tip: If you want to 100% each chapter by collecting all the secrets and finishing challenges, you don't have to finish the level for it to count.

Once you collect/finish the thing, it's recorded. You can bail and move on to the next one.
