It wouldn't be a #DMing update without the news of someone having to cancel at the last minute and upending all my big plans for tomorrow night. Guess what I'm spending today reworking? Been watching tons of #Dimension20 using my new #DropoutTV subscription and since getting into #ACourtOfFeyAndFlowers, I really want to run a #Regency game that takes place within my current homebrew #DnD setting, and today I had coffee with a pal who not only is super into playing in it, but can host and bring another mutual friend. Why is #GoogleTranslate only capable of giving me an audio pronunciation for the word I already typed in? Looks like #ScotsGaelic audio pronunciation is not supported, and unfortunately, it's the language I've been using for place names in my #DnD homebrew campaign. It's also the one language I always need the most help pronouncing. #DMJournal

My #DnD sesh featured a pedlar NPC (w/ an evangelical streak since becoming a follower of the benevolent sun god Pelor) based on Carmine 'The Big Ragoo" Ragusa from Laverne & Shirley. Like Carmine, he never enters w/o singing his theme song, which, like Carmine's, is to the tune of "Rags To Riches": "I am your humble village pedlar/ Peruse my wares, no two the same/ True wealth comes not from coin, but Pelor, / “Soterio” it is my name.” Took me 10 mins to write & my players LOVED it. #DMJournal

FINALLY! I am DMing for my first time ever tonight and I am VIBRATING with excitement!! Running #TheWildSheepChase one-shot & it's gonna be silly fun with lots of DM roleplay & accents because I was a theatre kid, and that shit never leaves you. I've got home-built set pieces & modular stackers to suggest any structure I need, full session notes, a music playlist and a bunch of awesome ChatGPT generated scripts. Also, hilarious IRL magic items! So basically, they're gonna get A SHOW! #DMJournal

Not much progress on #writing today. Did some household chores, but my #ADHD & I got derailed with a 1-2 punch from my hobbies this weekend, & it's been hard not to let that spill over into the week. Before next #Pathfinder sesh, I have a lot to learn about combat, plus I fell down a YouTube rabbit hole of #DnD #TerrainCrafting as I plan for my 1st adventure as a #DM later this summer.
